FENTANYL FORUM

On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Lakeview held an open forum on Fentanyl and other drug-related issues facing our culture today. Present were several community leaders who regularly deal with different aspects of the problems caused by illicit and illegal use of drugs (with a special emphasis on the recent surge in Fentanyl plaguing our nation, our state, and yes, even our county.

Included below are a link to the forum and a slide show which accompanies one of the presenters.

Our hope is that churches and believers everywhere will educate themselves on the dangers, the prevalence and the responses to this crisis in hopes of saving lives, and even more importantly, saving souls. The presentation was not religious in flavor or content. But at Lakeview, our motivation is the command to love our neighbors as we love ourselves, the Second Greatest commandment of God.

Presenters were, in order of appearance:

Megan Hauser from Haywood Health and Human Services
Randy Fugate a veteran and instructor in Emergency Medical Services in Haywood and Asheville area.
Lt. Craig Campbell of Haywood County Sheriff Department
