Where is God when people hurt?  He is present in the Body of Christ, His Church.  Nazarenes have always responded with love, compassion and generosity to the hurting people within our reach.  As evidence of the seriousness with which the Church of the Nazarene takes compassionate ministry, see the article at the bottom of this page.

Lakeview takes compassion seriously enlisting her members in numerous compassionate efforts throughout the year.  From Operation Christmas Child to local Angel Trees to Crisis Care Kits to an ongoing correspondence ministry to prisoners and numerous local charity efforts, Lakeviewers love to allow the love of God to flow through them to their neighbors and those on the other side of the globe.

Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc. received its second consecutive 4-Star rating by a nationally recognized charity-rating organization.  An honor only about 19% of all rated charities have earned.

"Only 19 percent of the charities we rate have received at least two consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc. consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way and outperforms most other charities in America," Berger wrote. "This 'exceptional' designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Nazarene Compassionate Ministries, Inc. from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust."  -Source, NCN News
